Meet our Doctors

Dr. Christina Garcia-Ramirez PT, DPT, OCS, MDNC

Doctor of Physical Therapy, Orthopedic Certified Specialist, Master Dry Needling Certified

Hi, my name is Christina. I have practiced as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in several outpatient clinics in both Texas and New York since 2013. I have experience working with many different types of patients/clients including Broadway dancers, professional athletes, post-operative patients, workplace injuries, weekend warriors, people diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, people suffering from vertigo, and people lacking balance. My favorite patients/clients to work with have always been people who are limited by joint pain. I love working with this population because I can confidently address their pains and change their lives within the first few sessions.

In 2020 I earned my Specialist Certification in Orthopedics (OCS) to provide better, more informed care to my patients. I also earned my dry needling certification to boost faster results for my patients.

I became a physical therapist because I wanted to develop long term relationships with my patients and watch them go from an inferior quality of life to living fully again. I use my clinical work, real life experience, and continued education to provide my patients with an ELEVATED level of care.

Dr. Camaron Chide Burney PT, DPT, TPI Cert., MDNC

Doctor of Physical Therapy, Titleist Performance Institute Certified, Master Dry Needling Certified

Hi there, my name is Camaron.

Since becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2017, I have worked with a variety of patient populations with varying ages and diagnoses, however the bulk of my experience has been working with adults in the outpatient orthopedic and inpatient rehabilitation settings.

My passion is helping to improve my patients' capacity to live their lives to the fullest, no matter their age or circumstance. It truly hurts my heart when I hear someone say that they can no longer do XYZ because of pain or because of their age, causing them to resign themselves to a more sedentary, isolated, and overall less joyful lifestyle. After all, we only have one life and it is meant to be LIVED and ENJOYED! I strive to give you hope, a new perspective, and the confidence that you need to start LIVING again. I want to help you enjoy life again, and get you back to doing the things that you love, with the people that you adore.

Let me help you live the life that you should, with the elevated care you deserve!

Fun Facts

Dr. Christina

Alma mater:

I attended the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) in San Antonio for my pre-requisite classes prior to my graduate program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA).

Hometown/places lived:

I was born in Clear Lake, Texas and moved to San Antonio for my undergraduate and graduate programs. After graduating, my husband and I moved to New York City for 4.5 years before settling down in southeast Houston to start a family.

Favorite music:

I have a very diverse taste in music. I'll always like pop songs from any decade. I also enjoy 90s/early 2000s country/R&B/punk rock. I've recently been getting into neo-psychedelic rock and indie pop.

Hobbies/Talents:

Singing and dancing. I have been a member of choirs most of my life and love a good karaoke night! I was a competitive gymnast for 7 years but cannot claim the ability to do anything more than a roundoff or cartwheel now. I transitioned from gymnastics into dance. I love to dance a good lyrical routine, have the foundation of a ballerina, can keep up with a Cumbia, am a great dance partner during a top 40 song, but also love being twirled around the floor during a Texas Country two-step, or an East Coast swing number.

Hardest thing I've ever done:

Other than childbirth and raising children, I have completed 3 Marathons (New York, Chicago, Houston).

Craziest thing I've ever done:

skydiving from 13,000 feet for my 21st birthday (don't worry, it was tandem)

Favorite thing to talk about during therapy:

Food!

Dr. Camaron

Alma mater:

I am a loud and proud graduate of Texas A&M University (WHOOP!), and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Hometown:

I was born and raised in Galveston, and I am a proud 6th generation BOI! (BOI: Born on Island)

Favorite movies:

I have always loved movies that make me laugh. My favorites are Grease, Austin Powers, and Stepbrothers.

Hobbies/Talents:

I grew up in a family who loves sports. That is one reason, coupled with the passion I have for science, that led me to be a physical therapist. I traveled around the country playing softball for many years, most of which I spent on the pitcher’s mound. I loved making batters look foolish on my curve ball. I still love pitching with my nieces in the backyard, even if my curve is a lot less “curvy” now. I also have a background in volleyball and basketball. These days, I enjoy golfing with my husband and parents, snow skiing, traveling, and being a Mom to my son, Weston.

Craziest thing I've ever done:

Growing up, my friend and I would always watch Golden Girls after school. Naturally, we fell in love with Betty White and her sense of humor (I mean, who doesn't love Betty?). Fast forward to college, when we took a trip to California. On the plane right there, we vowed to each other (jokingly) that we wouldn't leave until we met Betty. Well, we found her address, drove to her house, and knocked on her door. After we spoke to her assistant, Betty came out and met us!

Favorite place I've traveled to:

Italy! I'm a sucker for pasta. Also, my great-grandparents immigrated to the USA from Palermo, so Italy (and pasta) holds a special place in my heart.
